Heating Pads? Safe?

hey ladies, i was wondering, for those of you who have had kids before, what are your thoughts on heating pads? my lovely growing uterus is killing me, and id love to apply some heat to help it feel better. but is it safe? should i keep it turned low and only have it on for a short period of time? help. tia.

During my first pregnancy, I was told not to use them at all on the lower back or lower abdomen area.

I wouldn't just because you don't want to over heat that area. I was given the OK for upper back/shoulders though.
