tested at the wrong time?

So I know the rule to test with the first morning pee, but I am 4 days late and I couldn't wait! Anyway, I took the test and it is negative.

Would you test again in the morning? Or wait a few days? Or just take it for what it is?

I'd try to wait a few days. If you test in the morning and it's negative, you'll want to test in a few days again anyway.

I would wait a few days.  I know your supposed to take them first thing but all 3 of my BFP were in the middle of the day and just a couple days prior were BFN.

I personally have 40 unused pee sticks right now so I'd keep testing. However if you aren't crazy pee stick lady like me I'd wait a few days and test again. 

Before I got pregnant my cycles were all crazy and I'd test every few days until I got my period because I just didn't know.

Ok so apparently my body was playing tricks on me! AF showed up after all.

I was a little sad to be honest, but DH and I were not planning on TTC until the fall.
