DD is on Zantac too. Also, we elevate her mattress so she is sleeping on a slant, burp her every ounce or so, feed her mostly upright and keep her upright for a while feeding, generally about 30 minutes. This all has helped make a happier baby.
We do all of the above. Plus:
-if he's in a cradled position he seems to be happier (like the position he's in while in the swing or car seat).
-We pedal his legs like a bicycle while he's on his back or pull his legs up (like you do when changing a diaper) it seems to help him get rid of some gas.
- Give him Little Tummy's (simethicone). You can also give them Mylanta occasionally (Maalox is the same thing). Our pedi said 1/4 tsp is a safe dose. We do this if the reflux is really bad.
- Yesterday I bought a baby sling (Baby K'taan (sp?) - its just like a Moby wrap) and I put him in it after I feed him. This keeps him upright for the 30+ minutes but I am now free to walk around with him and do other things. He also falls fast asleep while he's in it and I can get him out and put him in his pack n play without him waking up. This morning I was able to make an omelet right after I fed him! I plan on vacuuming with him in it later today:) If you can't tell I'm excited, this thing is the best invention for reflux/colicky babies that has ever existed.

Hopefully our babies grow out of this soon!
