Cloth Diapering

circumcision Q: what do you do with the fleece liner?

I know a lot of people use a fleece liner to keep the ointment from getting on their diapers, but what do you do with the liner?    I figured you can't wash it with your diapers since the point of using them is to keep the ointment off the diapers, so do you do a separate load of liners?  Just toss them?  I know this is such a newb question!

  • I would recc washing them with a load of towels or clothes.  That way you aren't washing a load of just the liners.

Because it's her and her husband's decision.

We are Jewish.  Now, about those liners....any insight on that?

  • Well now it makes sense! I understand why people who are Jewish choose to do it. Now.. about those liners... wash them with your bath towels. If you wash with regular clothes you could end up staining your clothes.

So glad your found the original poster's choice to circumcise her son up to your standards.  Would you have taken the time to answer her question if you didn't approve of her reasons?

OP: Any time we have ointment etc.. on liners I just pre-rinse them and then add the rest of whatever laundry I have around that can withstand hot water.

  • Yes, of course I still would have taken the time. Im not a b!tch. I am just interested in why people do/dont decide to circumsize. Thats all. I am not starting any debate nor did I give her any flack for her decision before I even knew what her answer was. But thanks for being snarky. Yes

IMO, telling her "your son is born perfect" is being judgemental and giving her flack, even if you didn't mean it that way.

  • So youre saying her son is born imperfect? Come on now.... but if thats your opinion, youre entitled to it, so thats fine. But correct, as that is NOT how I meant it. We are all born perfect.

To be honest, it was judgmental.  If you don't want to judge then don't ask in the first place.

  • sorry if you took it that way, once again, not my intention. a lot of people are choosing not to circumsize these days and I was just wondering your reason for choosing it. thats all. So I apologize. It wasnt meant to start anything. I was just curious. hope that apology is sufficient enough for you.
