Or at least knocked down to second on our list. My grandmother, Marian, is expected to pass away before March 1st. Marian has been on the list for years, with Marianne emerging most recently. For months now I've been wanting it at the top of the list but DH was always so in love with Margaret. He tentatively agreed to Marianne, nicknamed Annie as our top girl choice last night. We wanted Marianne to honor DH's late mother, Patricia Ann.
We're all over the place with middle names though. Here's the other names on our long list, but are open to suggestions too for a middle name:
Jane, Elizabeth, Catherine, Josephine, Elinor, Amelia, Margaret, Beth, Lynn, Virginia, Samantha, Charlotte, Grace, Rebekah.
What do you think: Marianne _________ B-two syllables-min
Re: Margaret is out-
Is your last name pronounced man, or min? If it is Marianne Somethingman, it might sound weird. Although I know that's not your question.
My favorite combo is Marianne Grace- some of the longer syllable-names are a mouthful with Marianne.

Totally agree.
Good point, it's pronounced min, spelled man!
