moby wrap - colors

I'm looking into buying a moby and trying to pick a color. I would have to order online because they only sell black in stores around here. The picsfor different websites are so different. I like the indigo, pacific, and chocolate but I can't tell if the first two would be too bright and the chocolate too dark? Any color recommendations to avoid too bright and too hot (like for when we go to the zoo)?

IMO any of them are going to be hot, but darker colors are definitely going to be hotter.  I get hot just wearing mine around the house due to LO's body heat combined with the wrap.  If I went to the zoo, I would use a stroller.

Buy the one that you think is the most beautiful.  Mine is sierra colored, and I wore that thing everywhere all summer, and mostly folded in half lengthwise, at that.  If you don't love it, you will be less inclined to use it.

I agree with the other ladies that the Moby is going to be too hot during the Spring/Summer months. I love my Boba Wrap (very similar to the Moby) but holy cow it makes LO and I warm, it is the middle of the winter and I can only wear tank tops and short sleeve shirts under my Boba because we get too warm. We will be using the Boba carrier (a SSC) for Spring/Summer.

But to answer your question I think it would be best to go with a light color grey, tan, light pink/blue or something along those lines. Anything dark would absorb additional heat and anything bright would reflect the sun. I noticed that WalMarts website had a large collection of Moby Wraps in a ton of colors.
