2nd time moms: CDing multiple kids?

Will you CD the next baby while the other one is still in diapers? I was sort of hoping we could toilet train DS before #2 comes, but I don't think it's going to happen and CD-ing 2 kids makes me cringe...

We didn't start CDing DS until he was 3 months, so I think we'll be able to buy some time doing it the same way with #2, but I really still don't think DS will be toilet trained until 3-ish. He'll only be 2 1/2 when #2 is 3 months old.

How are you planning to do it? Will you CD multiple LOs?

I am trying to decide this as well.i bet I end up doing it though because of all the cute newborn diapers! Good luck to you

The idea of not CDing 1 of 2 kids never occurred to me. I guess I am not sure why this would be a problem. Is it because you think having more diapers to wash will be a pain?

That doesn't bother me; CD laundry is my favorite laundry. And the reasons we choose to CD are just as valid whether we have 1, 2, 3, or 20 kids.

So yes, we will be CDing this LO from day 1 as well.

I will likely end up with 2 in cloth diapers.

Doing one in cloth and one not sounds like more effort. I'd have to remember to buy diapers AND do laundry? No thanks. We'll just wash more often. The work will really be in having 2 in diapers, not having 2 in cloth diapers.

we have our ds and our little foster baby in cd at the same time. i just have to do laundry a lot more often. we have a few different styles and split their stash up. we are adopting again and im assuming we wil have 3 in cloth diapers very soon.

on the go i feel like its a little harder to cd both but im sure if i put more effort into it i could pull it off.

At 7 & 10 my older kids are definitely PT, but since I'm having twins I'm definitely planning to CD two!  I never had an issue the couple of months overlap my elderlies were both in cloth too.  A little more laundry but not a big deal (NB diapers are also smaller!)

Yes!  My first is still in diapers and my second is due in April.  I bought a dozen XS BG AIO's and then will use my small fuzzibunz as soon as the new baby is big enough.  I have plenty of diapers and I only wash every 4 days now.  I will probably have to wash every 2-3 when the new baby comes. 

As one of the PP's said, my reasons for CDing are the same for this baby, so I would CD no matter how many I had in diapers.
