Clicky: Auggie vs Augie

We are pretty firm with August as one of our top two names (the other being Graham.) We both prefer Auggie/Augie as the nn (even though Gus is fine.) But now I realize we would spell it differently.

(I realize not everyone likes August-- not looking for opinions on that. Thanks.)

But Jen is like a nickname for Jenny. Most people aren't Jeny's or Jenn.
  • Voted for two gs - it looks better to me.
  • Yay for baby August (that's our DS2 although we call him Gus). I voted for Auggie, that looks better to me :) It's such a cute nn!

  • I voted Auggie. I always want to use a soft "g" sound when I read Augie.

That is a great point I hadn't considered. (I am in the Auggie camp, but my H was watching Top Shot the other day and they have a contestant named Augie.)
