39 week appointment

So here I am 39 weeks and a few days and I had my first internal. I am 0 and 50 % effaced. He said to me, see you next Friday, you wont be going into labour any time soon. Now I feel totally discouraged!

They can't really tell you that for sure. You could be like this today and tomorrow could be a different story. You're almost there. Keep your hopes up!!

Don't feel discouraged!

When I went last week they booked my appoints for the following 3 weeks [so even almost a week after my due date] and this is my 3rd baby. 1st was 10 days late, 2nd was 3 days late. Look at as if you are making a fabulous host for the baby and they are happy and comfy working on getting chubby cheeks

Aww, that definitely is the last thing you want to hear! But be encouraged--so many women go into labor starting at 0. He can't be sure you won't have your baby between now and then!

This was me with DD-- literally the next day I lost my mucous plug, had my bloody show, and my water broke all within an hour.  DD was born less than 24 hours later.
