At 3 yrs and 20 months

I just wanted to share what happened yesterday. Dh works away and he was leaving, I had to wake DD from her nap and put her in the car to take DH to the airport. DS had spoken with daddy about leaving already and so when DD was crying in the car (cause she was tired) DS kept telling her "Daddy has to go to work Eva, but its ok he'll be back soon." DD would say "no, I want daddy" and DS kept saying "Its ok Eva, I know you are sad, but he'll be home soon, ok?"

He kept comforting her and eventually she said "ok Finn, we'll see Daddy soon"

Dh and I wanted to cry and laugh at the same time. I love how close they are, and that they can have full conversations now. I told DH I am SO glad we had them this close in age, they help each other get through the times when Daddy has to leave. 

Just thought I would share with those who are new to 2 u 2.

That's so awesome! Thank you for sharing that story. We're still at the stage where Felix tries to share his toast and water and blocks etc with Dexter!!! So looking forward to when they start interacting properly.
