ETA POLL: sort of a s/o: could you have sex with someone else?

Z's poll got me thinking.  I cannot even imagine having sex with anyone other than Joe.  I guess it's official -- we are an old married couple.  LOL

But honestly, the thought of someone else seeing me naked (EEK!) - or being intimate with someone beyond making out with them -- can't even imagine it.  And if I try to imagine it, I get all skeeved out and I know it would never go that far. 

Even Donnie Wahlberg.  And trust me, I've TRIED to envision that.    But there is NO WAY I could let someone else see me naked - especially Donnie.  In addition to that, the thought of looking at another man's penis (ICK!) is so gross to me.  Those things aren't very attractive to begin with but I'm comfortable with Joe's.  LOL 

I don't know.  I'm rambling.  But the whole idea of having sex with someone else just skeeves the heck out!

Not after having four children I couldn't!!  I can't imagine having anyone but dh seeing me naked.  I have lost the baby weight, but it still doesn't look pretty.  I also like that even if it is the same every time, dh knows me.  There is no trying to figure out what each other likes or being awkward.  You know like those, "um, you're on my hair" kind of moments.

I was wondering that too.  Hmmm.  13% have had sex with someone else while married.    Maybe some of them are swingers?

I have been separated for 4 months, and I'm headed for divorce and I'm STILL not to the point where I can even wrap my brain around being intimate in any way with someone else. I took vows to only be with him, and lived by those for almost 9 years. It's hard to get out of that mindset!

It doesn't "skeeve me out" and I'm not self conscious about my body.  But there is so much at stake that I just could never take the chance that my DH would find out.  But if this is a hypothetical question, and in this hypothetical world I wouldn't catch any disease or get pg accidentally or end up with a psycho who would out my indiscretion, then I might.  I love my DH and I am happy with our love life, but I have to admit that I miss the excitement and tension of being with someone new.

I voted "nope" because I would never be able to do that to my husband or our family. 

But, if you took away the whole happily married thing, I would have no problem.

Hmm I didn't read this post as "would you/could you cheat on your husband".  I read it more in terms of, if your dh isn't in the picture for whatever reason (death, divorce) then... And uh, yes.  I'm not dead . It would be weird, but I'm sure I could get over it.  But, I would never cheat.  Just isn't in my personality.

I really can't imagine being intimate with anyone else.  I love my marriage and my husband.  I'm not self-concscious and think I look pretty good for an almost 40 yo who's had 2 kids so that doesn't stop me.  I just don't really want to have sex with anyone else.  My libido never really recovered from taking the pill anyway - so while sex with DH is great, i don't really find myself yearning for it.

I read it the same way. not as cheating just in general..at this point I couldn't imagine it at all. I would be "skeeved out".. I guess if I got divorced or anything , I would have to get used to the idea..

If DH was out of the picture for whatever reason...yes I would/could. I never really had sex prior to him so it'd be an adventure...but I really enjoy it & don't want to spend the next 20+ yrs celebate.

this. Swingers, open marriages, etc. everyone leads a different lifestyle, and its quite possible a husband "allows" their wife to have sex with someone else.. Say- maybe even another woman? The question didn't specify the sex of the other person
