My SIL has registered for a travel system and I couldn't believe the price. I know nothing about this brand. Why is it so much more than other strollers? TIA.

1) It's better made than the cheaper brands you find in Target. 2) It's an Italian company trying to appeal to the same crowd as the Bugaboo/Stokke/Orbit Baby purchasers. It's a well-made status symbol car seat.

I don't think it is that great or better made than other companies at Target. I had a Peg car seat, and I didn't really like it. I much preferred my Graco. I also have a Peg high chair, and while I do love the high chair, it is not worth the price difference over a Graco Blossom or other chair.
i have the peg perego switch travel system & have been using it since LO was born. I really like it, he's grown out of his car seat already but it comes with a larger bassinet that we've now been using with the same stroller. The bassinet has 3 recline settings. its pretty nice.
I was lucky enough where my in-laws bought us all the big ticket items for baby gears.
