What are the points on here for? I see them appear under the number of posts I've made, but I'm not sure what they do for me? Thanks!!

They do nothing for you.

You are "given" points based on the popularity/# of views/responses to a post, etc. But they don't win you anything

I kind of knew the points really didn't mean anything, but for some reason I'm tired of being labeled a "newbie".  I want to move up to the next level.

You've still got awhile 

1-500 posts = Newbie

501- 2000 = Bronze

2001- 6000 = Silver

6001- 16,000 = Gold

16,001+ = Platinum

 

 

so you have to have 501 of your own topic posts in order to go from "newbie" to bronze?  Or does that mean topic posts and response posts? shoot. Sure wish all of my Mommyhood FB posts translated to Thebump. lol.  Would be there in no time.

It's total posts and responses on The Bump, The Knot and The Nest, not just ones you create.
