Need gift idea for a new mom

A good friend of mine's sister just had a little girl.  I have met her sister once or twice.  I'm going to stop by though next week to see the baby.  I don't want to come empty handed.  Any gift ideas?

    Hrmm - not a good enough friendship to warrant my stand-by Molly Maid gift certificate...

    Baby 1st aid/grooming kit - no one wants to buy those. Or a little something for the mom?

    I would veer away from the Tiffany MOM necklaces.

    A pedicure gift certificate? An offer to do her laundry for her a few times? Or a meal is always a good choice...

    Ditto.  Make up a pasta bake in a throw-away dish and have the heating instructions on it.

    I would generally love the meal idea but she lives with her parents and sister.  So she's got lots of help.  I don't want to spend a ton either. I guess I can see if there's anything left on her registry.  Maybe just a cute outfit for the baby.
