Predicament (sp).. advice?

Some college girlfriends are planning a girls weekend.  Initially it was going to be hardly any travel, then of course it morphed into Vegas...I would be like 16 wks pg when we would go.  I am not telling people yet about this pg, so that is where I run into a pickle.  How do I take an out when I have already said yeah, that weekend works.  Plus, $ is starting to be an issue with it.  Usually you can find super cheap plane tickets, but flying out for me would be $500+ or travelling 2 1/2 hours, then $350+.  Plus at least $250 per night ( 3 nights) for a hotel.....I feel like with a new baby on the way I don't want to drop a $1000+ when I should be saving for our child.  I SAH, so we don't live a super frivolous life.  What to do?????!!!!!  I just feel like a bad friend.  I had to tell another friend, sorry I can't run a 1/2 marathon with you, who wants to do that alone?

I agree with this.  The money gives you a plausible (and true) excuse with or without a pregnancy, so you can keep your secret!
