Hi ladies!
We are considering going back to CD. We CD before I returned to work with prefolds & thirsties covers & I really liked them but they do not seem practical now. Also, since we've been using disposables for 6 months DH kind of is having a hard time agreeing to the switch.
I'd really like to do OS AIO/AI2s. Also since she's 10 months old I'm concerned with the OS diapers. She's skinny & long, 21lb, 31+ inches. I have a OS fuzzibunz & it seems short on her & is about the same length as her size 5 disposables. ? It says up to 35lbs but I just don't see this fuzzibunz making it that long, I don't know too much about CD a bigger kid though.
Can you rec your brand for OS AIO/AI2?
If you have older babies do you think the OS you have will make it through to potty training?
Aplix vs snaps? I think I'm leaning aplix since she's skinny & long
For older babies, how many diapers do you think you need a day?
Do you have issues with clothing fitting over the fluff? Do you have to size up?
Re: OS?
There is a link to brand reviews in the FAQs. One of the columns is your LO's body type, so you should be able to find out what's popular
I've been using a lot of DD's OS diapers since she could fit into them, and they're still going strong
I don't have a preference of aplix over snaps. She figured out the aplix a while ago, so I can only use them when she's in onesies or I can get to her (eg, if she naps in them I come in to a naked baby)
Still count on changing every 2-3 hours
I've never had to size up on clothing. But some diapers (eg, Kawaii) are trimmer than others. Ironically, my MIL bought DD the larger size of a bunch of bottoms "so they can fit over her diaper", and they're HUGE on her
Awesome! thanks!
