Can somebody help me with my jeans?

I was downtown with some friends and slipped in my heels on some slick cement, except for a banged up knee I didn't get hurt but the knee I fell on/caught myself with tore a bit on my jeans. They are starting to unravel and fray (sp). I'd really rather not just throw them away since they are brand new. 

What should I do? I'm really not a sewer so I'd have to take it in for almost anything but can they be saved?

I think if you put a patch on the inside, it will keep them from unraveling further.  You can get the iron-on kind at Walmart.  That won't cover the damage, though.  That probably can't be fixed.

You could also try to make it funky/cute by ironing on a different colored patch or sewing it together with colored embroidery thread. It might make it look intentional and sort of boho chic.
