QOTW: What did you and your significant other do/get for Valentine?s Day (if anything)?

MFI Weekly Check In

This group is for those of us dealing with male factor issues. We welcome everyone but mostly we are dealing with low count, motility, morphology or all three. Male infertility is a mysterious world filled with questions no one, including REs, urologists, acupuncturists or anyone else seem to have the answers to. Any treatment suggested is a coin toss for success and a 3 month wait for a fresh batch of swimmers. Most of us are told the only answer is IUI or IVF w/ICSI. The purpose of this group is to support each other through shared experiences and to share any info we can because the more informed we are the better. We have a check in every Monday morning (in this case it's Tuesday due to yesterday's holiday) but I will try to post a link later in the afternoon/evening also. Welcome and GL and PPVs to all!

My DH has % morph and I'm 39 y.o. We just did our ER and by using ICSI, we had 13 eggs fertilized. Our ET is scheduled for 2/18.

QOTW: Our Valentine's Day celebration consisted of a quiet evening at home.

Update: I'm currently on BCPs for IVF #2 and start Lupron next week.

QOTW: When I came home last night, DH had turned the entire living room into an adult-sized fort. At the entrance there was a little Valentine hanging from a red ribbon that said "Welcome to the tunnel of delights." Inside were candles, poetry books, massage oil... so much fun!

I am officially in the 2ww after IVF #1. Beta is 2/22 but I believe I will be POAS this Sunday and/or Monday. I just have to know on a day when I am off so I don't break down at work.

QOTW: We used a gift card that we got for Christmas to one of our favorite restaurants.

Update: We ended up with a bfn. Boo. We're currently on treatment hold for a bit while we decided to do IVF or IUI #5. Also, I'm transitioning jobs so it worked out timing wise to break for now.

QOTW: We were both off of work! I made him a card (sappy, I know) and heart shaped breakfast- heart shaped eggs, heart shaped toast, and bacccooonnnn!! Yum. Then I had a job interview to go to. When I got home he'd set out my card and roses. We went out and had an early yummy dinner, came home, cuddled, and went to bed early. LOL.. We're an old married couple.

ETA- Lynda- OMG, that is too cute. He gets double points for that one.

We transferred two 5 day blasts on Monday. Beta is 2/24. I still haven't decided if I'm going to POAS sometime b/t Monday and Wednesday...we'll see how I'm feeling mentally...lol.

Appt. last wk RE had mentioned tentatively the 23^rd but at Fri.?s appt. we should know for sure if it will be this date. Just hopefully no more delays again. QOTW: He made a nice dinner.

I was on this board a couple of years ago, but I took a break since we knew we couldn't do any tx for a while. Info is in siggy, but here's a quick run down:

DH was dx with testicular cancer in March 2009, testicle removed, 4 rounds of chemo, and major surgery to remove more tumors. The last surgery resulted in retrograde ejaculation. 2 SAs in the following years revealed 0 sperm. Post Void SA on 2/7/12 revealed 1.3mil. We were told all were dead though due to his urine being too acidic. We're meeting with Uro 2/20/12.
