Triple strollers: sit and stand? Other options?

We're going to TTC#3 in June, so if all goes as planned I'll have a 3 year old, 18 month old and newborn.  I know for the first bit I will wear the baby, but I would like an option for a triple stroller that isn't ridiculously huge.  Are there double strollers with a standing board out there?  I've done some googling and can't find much.

Re: Triple strollers: sit and stand? Other options?

  • We have the city select and got the glider board. I have used it with both seats and a 4 year old standing on the glider board (nephew) with no problems. It wasn't the most comfortable looking thing  (top of his head was touching the back seat where the baby was sitting) but he didn't complain as we went around the mall. He had to crouch down to get out because of the handlebar.....but it worked. This stroller could be a single, double, or triple depending on your needs and it isn't huge.

  • My sister had the Valco double with the seat out infront.  Not too big, but definitely very heavy to push!

  • Keep in mind your 3 yr old may not want to be in a stroller.  I was waiting to see what to do about a stroller and at this point I just wear #3 and use my double.  Now maybe the spring will be a different story but for now that has worked for us.

  • I have the BJCS and added the glider board recently since at 3 DS doesnt like to sit as much. I have only used it with the one seat attached, but same difference. He loves it. I have him btwn the handle and DDs seat and he holds the sides. He loves it and it clips up when I dont need it. When Baby #3 comes I plan on using the infant seat adapter, the reg seat and the board.
