Does DD sleep too much?

I know this is a problem my friends say that they'd LOVE to have but I'm starting to wonder if this is an issue.

I know you ladies will let me know!

My DD goes to bed every night at 7 and wakes up at 8

She has 2 naps during the day averaging about 2 hours each

In total she probably sleeps between 15-18 hours a day!

She is an extremely happy baby, eats well etc etc

My friends say "if it aint broke, don't fix it"

Should I just leave things the way they are?
Should I start waking her from naps earlier?

 Thanks girls!

    <-- extremely jealous

If you're worried about it, talk to your pedi. I say I would be counting my blessings, but in truth I also worry when DD is outside of the norm for her age group in something (sleeping, eating, motor skills, etc), so I'm sure I'd also worry a little in your situation. I'm not saying something's wrong, I'm just saying that you're absolutely normal for wondering if everything's ok.

    Thanks ladies!
My friends all made me seem like it was VERY abnormal.  That's why I was worried.

At DD 9 month checkup I asked the pedi how much sleep should she be getting. He said as much as possible. I think she averages about 15 hours a day.

My pedi said 15 hours is within the norm for 9 months old.  Some babies just need more sleep that others.  I am one of those people if I don't get 10 hours of sleep a day I'm a mess, so I sleep 9 hours at night and take a nap during the day.

If the house ain't burned down and the baby's fed it was a successful day. Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker

E sleeps from 8pm - 7am and has a morning & afternoon nap that is around 2hrs each also, so it seems about right
