What can I ask for with custody?
I know it varies from state to state but I'm wondering what I can ask for as far as custody "rules"? I'm concerned about STBXH's drinking and some of the friends he has. I'm also concerned with him just dropping the baby off at his moms and taking off for the time he has LO. What are some things you other single parents have? and what kind of things come standard. BTW- I'm filing for sole custody.

As you pointed it out, it varies from state to state. It also varies depending on the age of the children. Your best bet is to talk to an attorney.
Just remember any restrictions you impend on him, he could come back and try to do the same to you to be "fair". So if you don't want him leaving LO at his moms he could come back and say the same to you.
Any visitation STBXH gets with LO, I will not have control over where it is, who it's with, etc. The only way you can is if you can prove he is unfit for unsupervised visits and have visits done in a facility- which you would have to pay half for.
