Pregnant after IF

A few questions from another 3Ter

Ok I have done way to much research, which I really need to stop doing, and have some questions for you ladies.  We transferred a grade 2 embryo on day 3 (RE uses 1-5 scale 1 being highest), how many of you transferred a grade 2 or lower and had success?  Also how many of you had implantation cramping/bleeding or what would seem like implantation cramping?  I have read of lots of women going through IVF that felt what they described as implantation cramping and I am having nothing as of 3dp3dt.  TIA for your help ladies!

Re: A few questions from another 3Ter

  • Well our RE uses a scale of 1-20, 20 being perfect.  We transferred one grade 20 embryo on day 5.  I had cramps from ET until my beta and well beyond.  I never had any bleeding.   GL

  • My Re did not tell me the grades of my embies. But I transferred the best looking one of the six that I had on day 3. I never had any cramping or bleeding. I was actually convinced that the embryo never made it to my ute at the transfer. Boy, was I wrong. I hope yours stick!

  • On my cycle that worked, I transferred 2 day 2 embryos.  Day 2 is apparently way too early to grade them.  One stuck and one didn't.

I had pain and cramping that started before ER and didn't go away until near the end of the 2ww.  Nothing that necessarily had anything to do with implantation.  It was just pain from everything they put my body through (I had a cyst aspiration before I started stims and didn't use any pain meds for it; I know that caused me pain).

    Good luck!

  • I don't have any experience regarding Grade 2 embryos, but I do know that so many ladies get their BFPs with less than perfect embies. I'm pulling for you!

Also, I cramped a lot after ET, but I could never tell if it was from implantation or from all the drugs/procedures/bloating.

  • We transferred an A grade and 2 C grade embryos for our second IVF.  I'm currently pregnant with a singleton.

About 6 or 7 dp3dt I had a day full of cramping.  Other than that, my only symptom was extreme exhaustion the second week of the 2ww.  Everyone is different and unfortunately progesterone can cause all these same symptoms.  Just because you aren't having any "symptoms" at 3dp3dt doesn't mean anything.  Hang in there.  The 2ww is horrible for everyone.
