Text message from Dad

I sent my Dad a text message this morning to say Happy Valentine's Day.  He sent me the sweetest text back and I almost started balling at my desk.  "Thanks for the message from cupid.  You are always in my heart."  I know it probably doesn't sound like much, but my Dad is not an overly emotional guy and maybe I am just an emotional wreck.

Aw! I know exactly what you mean. About five years ago when I was still living at home and working full time. My dad had slipped a note into my coat pocket before I left that morning that said: "I love you. Just keep being you. -Dad" My dad us just like yours. I can probably count on my left hand how many times he's hugged me even, not that he doesn't love me... he just shows his love in a much different way.

So sweet of him! My dad called me today to wish me a happy Valentines Day too, which is odd because he really never calls me. It was nice, there must be something is the air!

Eh...I sway between denial and acceptance. It went from 100 back up to 111, but I am bleeding more so we will see what tomorrow brings. My arms are black and blue from being poked. I decided I want to wait till Friday to get the mtx so that I can just veg at home for a couple days, but am praying so hard that it goes down on its own.

I'm sorry to hear that your hCG isn't cooperating.  Hopefully it starts going back down and continues that way.

That really is precious.  My dad is the same way - not at all emotional - and after my m/c he was so supportive.  He sent me a text every couple days just to tell me he was thinking of me.  I'll cherish those messages forever.  Glad he was able to help you smile.

My Dad left me a msg on my cell the day I found out we were having a 2nd mc. I have kept it, but man, the thing makes me cry but is so sweet. There is a little catch in his voice...

Dad's are the best! My dad is like yours in the fact that he doesn't show a lot of emotion, and its out of charachter to say such nice things.  When I called him to tell him what happened to me he was the one who said the best thing ever to me "Don't let this break your spirit" It was perfect.

So, don't let this break your spirit and keep trying for your take home baby!
