No urge to pee?

I'm about 2.5 weeks out from my C Section and I've noticed that I rarely feel the need to pee. Once I do, and I go, I end up peeing a lake's worth. It's like my body is holding it and not telling me I need to go until I really need to go. At the same time, the signal isn't urgent as if I really need to go, it's just your normal "time to pee" signal. My follow-up isn't until 6 weeks so I figured I'd check in here and see if this was a normal part of recovery or if something might be wrong.

I had this with DS and it lasted about 6 weeks and am currently having it with YDS.  When they moved your bladder to get to your uterus, there was some nerve damage.  I was told by my Dr that it is normal, a pain, but normal.

Yeah, I don't remember this happening with DD but it did with DS.  Ten weeks out, I'm pretty much over it, but it went on for a few weeks.  Not that I minded, since it wasn't to the point of incontinence and usually I feel like I have to pee all the time.

I noticed the same thing and was going to ask my doctor at my PP appointment! I thought maybe it was just because I was so used to peeing every 10 minutes during pregnancy that I just forgot what it was like to be able to go for a long time without feeling like I need to go. Glad to know I'm not the only one!

I had the same problem for about a month PP.  Honestly (TMI warning), I had the same problem with bowel movements too.  I wouldn't poop for days, then all of a sudden I had to GO.

It def is normal. I had it with DS, it was like I didn't feel it until I was about to explode! It lasted for a few weeks and then came back gradually. I would just try to pee every so often, maybe after nursing or feeding LO each time or something.
