In efforts to get this slow board moving, I was thinking of posting a question of the week. I stole this idea off my birth month board.

How did you meet your H/SO? bonus for pictures

DH & I met at OTB...he was a server while attending school.  I used to work at the restaurant so it was easy for me to pick up shifts. Unfortunately, the only person willing to give up their shifts for me to work was H. Eventually, we connected. If you were to ask him the same question he would say used the line 'I'm in a band' and I fell for it.

This is the oldest pic I've got on this computer from 2008. We've been together for 9 yrs.

We met at a happy hour for work.  Everyone had met up at the Fox and the Hound in Lewisville and he proceeded to stare at me most of the night while asking everyone about me.  Some people even got concerned and told me that some strange guy from another department was asking about me and staring me down.

He finally came over to talk to me and we have been together ever since.

DH and I met at a bar while watching football with mutual friends. The night we met I told my bff I am going to marry that guy, who responded with a "yeah, right." After that night we dated briefly, moved in together for 3 years, and have been married the past 5!

Well, some of our friends thought we would be perfect for each other, so they staged a "margarita party."  I should have known something was up because everyone kept playing musical chairs until my hubby and I ended up sitting by each other.  Imagine my surprise when I realized everyone there (about 15 ppl) was in on it!

He was kind of a door to door sales man that my mom met. No joke. She set us up and the rest is history. Well at least that's the VERY abbreviated version.

We met online.  We "talked" for a couple of months actually before I was ready to meet in person. When we met, we just knew and proceeded to have 3 dates in the next 3 days following.  We've been together ever since!

We worked for the same company but in different cities, we both traveled a lot for work back then and somehow ended up in the same place a lot. The rest is history...

I moved to Texas with my puppy and a 2 door Honda civic... nothing else... so after a day of sleeping on the floor in my empty apartment, I went furniture shopping.  I walked into Ashley Furniture out if Frisco, TX, and this handsome red head greeted me at the door.  He did the whole routine, what can I help you with, whatcha looking for, etc? and we ended up chit chatting about what to do and where to go in Texas as I tried out 3 different mattresses.  We hit it off really well and were joking with each other like we were old friends and I had already shared my life story, being a 22 year old female who moved to a new state all on my own with no friends or family!  So after I bought the bed, I ended up contacting him and asking him what the name of the bars were that he had mentioned, his response was "are you really asking what they were called, or are you asking me to go with you?"  I replied "Well, I'm new in town, You can join me if you'd like, but either way i'm going out"  Sure enough a week later he met me at Gator's in Dallas and we played pool and had some drinks and since then have been inseparable! He's one hell of a sales man! at least that's what he will tell you!

Us too! How crazy! He was a bartender at the time and me a server! We have also been together 9 years in April.
