Did you find your recovery from each section to be about the same or was one much easier than the other?
This was my second CS and I'm thinking back to how hard my first recovery was -I felt about 90% by the time I left the hospital this time, whereas last time it KILLED to laugh or cough, I had to sit with pillows behind me on the couch so I would be ble to get up without too much trouble, and I needed pain meds for a lot longer with my first. This time I didn't have near the amount of pain and only took Motrin at bed time (climbing into bed was still painful this time).
Anyway, wondering if it's the norm for a RCS or if it's perhaps because it wasn't an emergency this time or maybe this dr just did a better job. How'd your second section recovery compare for you?
Re: If you've had a RCS...
Maybe I'm a freak of nature because my second was SO much more difficult than my first. My first was an emergency (I went into labor and we realized I was fully dilated and he was breech,) second was planned.
After my first I was up and moving with little to no pain within days. Even though I was moving around pretty quickly after my second, I had complications after my second, skin yeast infection around the incision then PUPPS. Then, my incison wasnt healed at my 6 week checkup so they had to use silver nitrate to cauterize it. Yeah, the second was terrible and I had a newborn and a toddler.
I actually STILL have a tiny part of my incision that is healing. DS2 will be 13 weeks tomorrow. Thankfully, it is almost healed.
