Hi Ladies,

I am a DONA trained doula and I am completing my certification.  I have an opening in my schedule and I am looking for a mom interested in free doula services.  If you are in Hernando, Pasco, Pinellas, or Hillsborough and are due this month, I might be able to help you.  If you are interested, please let me know and we can talk further about the details.

What is a doula?
A doula provides continuous informational, physical, and emotional support to a mother before, during, and after birth.

Why use a doula?

Many studies have found that a doula?s presence reduces one?s negative feelings about childbirth, reduces the need for interventions, reduces the mother?s request for pain medication, and increases the mother?s confidence, security, and success with breastfeeding.
