I thought that was a nice perk of a scheduled c/s! I just preferred to have pretty hair and make up on that day. I still looked like semi-hell afterward (pale, mostly) but I like the pics I'm in a whole lot more than if I didn't have make up on.
Just check the hospital's policy. I've heard of some not being allowed to wear make up. That doesn't seem common, but worth checking into.

I would have liked to, but I was not permitted to wear makeup or contacts. Even if I had been able to, I don't think it would have mattered. I looked like complete crap anyway, for days!

I need to check my hospitals policy but I would like to wear some make-up at least to make myself feel better. I looked like crap the first time so I would like to try to look nice this time.
My makeup plan backfired! I wore my makeup. Baby and I went to recovery, and a couple hours later, was in my room. I had laughed and cried and my makeup was evident of it. Then my family came in with the cameras. I look like Ozzy Osbourne in my pictures.
I'm really looking forward to not looking like someone who has been in labor for 39 hours beforehand ! I even asked DH if he thought it was too much to curl my hair..

I had to be at the hospital by 5:30am, so I only put on waterproof mascara, chap stick and concealer I put on more when family visited at the hospital 2 days later.

I plan to this time around. DD was a surprise emergency CS due to pre-e and an abrupted placenta. I gained 15 lbs in a few days and was horribly swollen and looked like hell (and spacy b/c of the anti-seizure meds I was on). So yes, this time, I hope that this is one of the "perks" of a crappy first experience and a scheduled RCS and I get to look presentable in these pics.
