West Penn?

Hi ladies, I have a question for anyone who has recently delivered at West Penn. I was induced with my son at West Penn in July 2010, so I was hooked up to the fetal monitoring system and strapped to the bed my entire 23 hour labor. Not too fun. But I read that Magee has wireless fetal monitoring-so that you can be up on your feet during labor.

I was considering switching providers to magee so I can take advantage of this for my second child. Well I went to my OB visit, and my doctor told me that West Penn now has wireless fetal montoring. I haven't heard anything else about this from anyone. Can anyone back this up? I'm considering switching soon if it's not true!

I was planning on delivering at West Penn but the more research I did the less I liked the sound of it. I feel like my doctors just told me what I wanted to hear. Yet, when it came down to it they would just do what they wanted to do with me without my say so.

I'm sorry I don't have specific info for your question. My best advice is to follow your gut. Best of luck to you : )
