School-age moms: Do you plan to go to DC Vday party?

Less than half the parents attended the Xmas party (for DD) and it wasn't really an all that fun party (there was a heated(?) post on it)...I can already see (and in 1st grade) where less and less parents attend these things.   I am debating going.  I think DD would want me there.  I need to ask.  Should I suck it up and go.   DS1 has one also but most parents still attend these things in PreK.   I asked MH which he wanted to attend...he hasn't responded (email) yet....

At our public school, only 2 volunteers are allowed per party.  I did volunteer for tomorrow's party, so I am going.

We aren't invited to it, it's just the kids.

The only reason I would go to a party at school is if I were asked to help or were involved in planning.
