BUSTED (by a co-worker)

A very pregnant co-worker busted me last night as DH and I were checking out infant car seats in a neighborhood baby store.  Oops.  I was not planning on telling work for a little while still, but now think I probably should so I ensure they hear the news from me.

I do not think she would tell anyone, but I am not positive and I would hate for my bosses or staff to hear it from someone else first.

Did you tell her you are pregnant?  If I saw a co-worker in a baby store I would think, I wonder if she is pregnant or if she is just buying a gift for someone.  If you did confess, just tell her that you are not telling people until you are xx weeks. She will understand.

If you're not ready to tell your work yet, I would try to quietly approach your coworker and explain that you are pregnant but you are not ready to announce it yet.  If she's pregnant, she probably went through the same thing.  Unless she's a terrible person, she should understand and keep it quiet.

Sept 11!  So glad things seem to be going well this time around...  I am still nervous as crap about my next appointment though and having a loss.  I think buying a doppler would just make me obsessive though.

Yeah - I definitely do not own a doppler... I would be nuts (and probably drive my OBs nuts if/when I could not track down the hb on my own).  Plus, I really look forward to my appointments when I get to hear the LO rolling around and beating away!  Will you do the 12 week scan?  We are due just a few weeks apart...maybe we will need to plan a mom's group in our 'hood!

We spoke in the store and I definitely asked her not to say anything.  (She had heard us discussing so there was not way out and I'm not going to lie about it.)  I just fear the whole she tells ONE person, who then tells ONE person...so on.  I will probably just spill to my boss and my second-in-command and be done with it.

That stinks that she saw you! But since you're 12 weeks, I'd probably just tell your boss now. I'm with you -- I wouldn't want the higher-ups to hear it from someone else.
