D.C. Area Babies

Should we start a list?

Of local things to do and reviews? Like Artslvr's photographer list? It seems like a hot topic lately. I'd be happy to set up a Google doc if there's interest.

Also, do you guys all know about the list on Our Kids? I think you get more details if you're a member, but it's still a great place to start.

Re: Should we start a list?

  • that would be great! Where you the one who sent me KidFriendlyDC?? I like her write-ups on places and it is free.

  • Yes please! I'm constantly looking for stuff to do with DD, especially when it's cold out (so won't have a ton to contribute).

    Here's what I have:

MoBu in Falls Church (though their open play on weekends is pretty limited)

National Building Museum - Even just the Great Hall is entertaining.

I'll try to think of more...

  • A list would be great. So far, places we have enjoyed/enjoy regularly are: Port Discovery, Please Touch Museum (Philly), Smith Play Place (Philly), the play areas at Dulles Town Center, Tysons, Landmark Mall, Springfield Mall, White Marsh Mall, and Potomac Mills. The National Aquarium in DC was okay, but not great (although the LOs were still in strollers, so it might be better now that they are walking).
  • Hold on to your reviews for a minute. I'm going to see if I can set up a spreadsheet and give you all access to add whatever you like.
  • Great idea!

can we include attractions that are not local but are w/n driving distance, such as Sesame Place, Hershey, Day Out with Thomas, Dutch Wonderland, etc.?
