I am still undecided even though my c-section is scheduled. I feel If I go into labor I could *try* the VBac... still very hesitant. I never progressed more then 6 cm with DD (after water broke and then 20 hours of labor... cervix was swelling and had to do the Emergency c-sec) ... I am concerned I will go through the same type of labor again and not sure if I want to put my body through the stress/anxiety. However I would love to be able to have a successful Vbac. My Dr's are okay wither way but I leaning more towards a C-section which does concern me.

Re: How did you come to the decision to have a VBac ...
The two main reasons why I am planning to VBAC are that
1. I am more likely to die during a a RCS than during a VBAC. I feel like as a mom to my DD I should try. (I don't intend to fear monger against RCS w/ this statement as both are relatively safe options I'm just not comfortable with the statistical difference in risk to my health)
2. I had a terrible recovery and I don't want to go through that again.
Reasons I want a VBAC:
1. Hated the c/s and recovery (even though it was text-book and completely uneventful), and do not want to go through it again, especially with a toddler at home.
2. I had wanted a natural birth to begin with, and plan on having one this time.
3. Lower risk of death and other long-term surgery related complications
4. Because other than having a previous c/s, I have no medical reason to have another.
5. Because I want to be able to touch/hold/kiss/breastfeed my baby immediately after birth, rather than wait until I am in recovery.
6. Less post partum pain and drugs.
Um, are you my twin? lol Ditto to everything.
