Re: How was your weekend?

  • I forgot to add that I was actually able to sleep in on Saturday. I SAH, so friday I told DH I was "calling off" on Saturday. It was glorious!

I slept until 9 (that's as late as my body will sleep right now), but stayed in bed another hour before I got up and showered and got ready.

I went and ran errands alone (hell yeah!), and then picked up a few shirts and a new pair of jeans for myself.

Yesterday we had a small family GTG at my IL's house for my DS1's birthday this week.

    I feel refreshed.

  • Boring and uneventful here.  Really cold for South Carolina Standards, DH and I both had colds we were fighting, so we staying in most of the time, watched TV and did a little bit of nothing.  I went to Walmart and got V-day stuff for the kids.  That was my highlight:)

  • It sucked.  Dh has a huge project going on at work.  He worked friday night until 1:00 am.  Then he worked all day saturday and Sunday.  The good thing was that SIL took the older kids for an overnight, but the baby was very needy all weekend.  It was hard not being able to pass him off to dh for a break.  I am exhausted.

  • It was great. We got a lot accomplished. DH & the girls worked all day yesterday on the playhouse that DH is building for the backyard so I pretty much got the house to myself to get some things done on my list (mainly organizing/cleaning and getting stuff ready for the baby). Saturday, I hosted a baby shower for a friend of mine who is due in May.

I hope you feel better soon! Sometimes staying home and just chilling in front of the tv is the thing I crave most.

  • mine was uneventful, I did things around the house. It was so cold outside.  My DH finished building a dresser for M, and is now starting to make one for the new baby.

  • My mom watched the kids Friday night so dh and I could go out to eat.  We also went to Babies r Us to get our car seat for the baby.

Landon had a basketball game Saturday morning then we were home relaxing/cleaning.  We were supposed to go snow tubing with our church but the called and cancelled because it was -2 on the mountain and the wind was horrid.  We are going next Saturday when it's going to be around 40.  :) Then my mom called and wanted to go look around Babies R Us since the smow trip was cancelled  I had 2 trade in event coupons for 25% off each and she wanted to use them before they expired.  She ended up buying a swing and pack n play for us.  Lol. I think she is slightly excited for another little baby.

Sunday was spent at church and visiting my mom and grandmother. (they live together and we usually go 2 Sundays a month). They didn't have evening church because of cold temps and high wind so we went home and plate the wii til dinner/bedtime.

It was a really good weekend. :). I cleaned out our junk closet and piled some stuff for the goodwill in my van. Feels so good to purge.  I'm slowly cleaning out every nook and crany of our appt in case we move when baby gets here.  That and to make extra room for baby.

  • My parents took both of the big kids for the whole weekend (for the first time ever) so DH and I could finally paint DD1's room. We have lived in our current house for almost two years and her room was an awful bright orange. We painted it a very light pink and I absolutely love it. She does too! In between priming and painting and reorganizing and decorating DD's room, DH and I went out for two nice dinners with DD2. We also got to spend a lot of time giving DD2 our undivided attention for a change which was nice Smile. Overall, it was a great weekend. We got so much done and feel so relaxed I think my parents should take my oldest two for a weekend once a month! Big Smile

  • Very busy- lots of hockey and tobogganing though b/c the weather was perfect for that (not too cold, no wind). Big dinner party with old friends at our place on Saturday.  Lots of fun but now my house looks like a bomb hit it and I have a mountain of laundry to do...but here I am;)

  • It was good. DH and I went drinking w/ his co-workers on Friday night, I got way buzzed/drunk and enjoyed every minute of it because I never do that.

Got a gel mani on Sat because my nails look terrible and being the absolutely selfless person I am, did it because my sister's neighbor is trying to establish clientele. I'm a giver. We had band night, so had a few people over and DD got to play w/ my friend's son.

Yesterday did a casual v-day thing w/ my family and got to watch my 62 yr old mom, who's 4'10" run around in heels playing catch in the street w/ the grandkids. For as crazy uptight as my mom is, she certainly throws us for a loop on occasion.

  • It was great!

Friday night, Joe played in a poker tournament so it was just me and the kiddos.  Got off to a rocky start as Joe was supposed to feed them dinner before he left but he didn't and I was late getting home and then had to prepare dinner on top of it.  We didn't eat until 7!  UGH!  But all in all, it was fine.  Got the kids fed, played Wii, they read me books and then went to bed.  I had the whole bed to myself and watched what I wanted!  Glorious!  :)

Saturday I worked and then we went to dinner after.  The kids were on their best behavior as we had told them we were bringing them to get their Vday presents, but only if they were good.  It was a great family dinner.  We then went to Best Buy and got them their DSs and a Mario game.  Then home to bed.

Sunday - awesome day.  Did nothing.  Stayed in my pajamas until 9pm, at which time I showered for some sexy time!  :)  Got quite a bit done around the house - reorganized an area of the countertop that I wanted to reorganize.  The kids finished filling out their Valentines.  I synced their iPods (which took me about 2 frustrating hours)!!!  Played on their DSs with them.  Joe cleaned the house.  We just had a really chill, great family day!

  • DD1 has had a horrible fever all weekend long, going up to 104+, and DD2 has HFM!

But you know what, we just stayed in on a cold weekend, took naps, ate ice cream, and watched tv.  The girls were in good spirits considering, so it wasn't bad at all. (Other than one dr. visit and mommy worry.)  It was nice not going anywhere or rushing around.  The girls are home with me today and it is more of the same.

  • We had a really busy weekend!  Friday night was out to a reception hall for DD's school's fundraiser.  I helped with auction items and the evening was a lot of fun.  My sister babysat for us.

Saturday, we went out for burgers/hotdogs and then bowling with 11 other friends to celebrate DH's birthday.  Everyone had a blast!  We hired a babysitter that the kids adore.

Then, we took the kids to do something special yesterday, which they really enjoyed. They are finally getting over their colds from last week, so it was nice that they had 2 quiet nights at home, while DH and I still got out.  Our days were spent relaxing.  Overall, it was a great weekend.

  • Awesome weekend. Flew to San Fransisco on Friday & came home yesterday.  Just me & DH I surprised him for his birthday.  DD stayed with my BF's family & she had a great time.
