Grrrr...comments people make...

If one more person asks me if my child can breathe in the car seat with the winter cover (think JJ Cole Bundleme...but the Walmart version) over  it I am going to punch someone.  I mean, do they really think a company would put out a product that would intentionally suffocate children?  Or that I would put something over my child where he could not breathe?  Yes.  My child can breathe, thanks.

  • You should tell them no, but he sleeps so much better that way.  Guarantee they'll be dumbfounded.Wink

  • Strangers don't need to be making assuming comments to you and I'm sure you've researched this product.  I know you love your baby very much and would obviously never do anything that might hurt him but I also want to say that companies DO put out products that have suffocated children and they have not recalled them.  Pouch/bag slings have suffocated at least 14 children in the past five years and have not yet been recalled even though they are unsafe.  Also, many people use baby products incorrectly such as wraps for example that cause their babies to suffocate.  So, I would never assume that just because a product exists and is being sold that it is safe.  That being said, as long as your baby has at least two fingers of space between his chin and chest and he is not grunting with every breath, he is probably fine.
