Variation of AFC?

Dx with DOR, poor responder with only 4-5 follicles per cycle last year.

AFC last year was 7.

Had baseline u/s and AFC was 12! 

I am doing estrogen priming & antagonist this cycle, vs birth control pills & lupron (long & flare) for my last cycles.

Am I crazy to think I might actually respond better this cycle, or should I expect more of the same? I know these aren't great numbers, but this is quite a jump for someone with DOR-

Me (32) DOR, elevated NK Cells/ 2 copies of MTHFR mutation/ MH (35) azoo/high DFI   (TTC#1 since 2009)

IVFs#1-4: (4/10-2/12) all BFN

Surprise Bfp (9/11) - c/p

DS IUI#1-2 (9/12, 10/12) - BFN

DS IVF: (11/12) - BFN

DE/DS IVF#1: (10/13) - 2 day 3 embies transferred-BFFN

FET of 2 day 6 blasts: (12/13) - c/p

DE/DS IVF #2: (4/14) - 1 day 5 blast transferred...BFFN...again.

FET 5/14: 1 day 5 hatching blast transferred...another BFFN

Repeat SHG 6/14-normal / Endometrial Receptivity Array biopsy 7/14-Receptive Uterus

New RE, additional testing reveals elevated NK Cells

FET of 1 day 5 blast (RE recommends transferring 1 due to elevated NK cells) with lovenox, steroids & intralipids in October

    I too am DOR, amh is .47, and my afc has varied. My first check it was 8, this past Oct it was 13 and last week.it was 15. Eta: darn autocorrect!!
    2/11 Diagnosis: DOR-AMH .62, LPD and MFI-4% Morph
    IVF #1-July 2011 7/9/11-Started Stims
    7/20/11-ER:No eggs in 4/5 follicles. Left the 5th follie intact and converted to an IUI
    8/3/11-Beta #1=BFN,
    Nov, 2011 BFP #1=m/c at 7 wks 3 days
    11/11-AMH .47, IVF #2 March 2012...or not!! Surprise BFP on 2/19. Beta #1=161. Beta #2 305 Our little miracle girl is on her way! Due Oct 29, 2012

    Mine varies from month to month.  It ranges from anywhere from 8-12.  I hope this means you will have a great response!

    From what I've seen, you will tend to get a higher AFC immediately after taking BCP--I think that's why you take them.
