If your kid had strep...

did everyone or anyone else in your house also get it?  How soon?

DD started Amox on Friday for strep, so far ::knock on wood:: she's the only one.  I will be very surprised if it misses DS since they are always on top of each other.

Last year one kid gave it to the other but this year no one else caught it when my oldest got it.  Our pediatrician said it's very likely to get passed from one child to the next and just calls in a Rx when the 2nd kid gets it.

Both kids got it and they gave it to me. That's because DS also had a respiratory funk and was coughing in my face in bed for about 3 nights in a row.

My DD had it last month and none of us got it. I got a very VERY bad sore throat about 4 days after she was diagnosed, I had a strep test done in case but it wasn't that.

DS gets it every year, sometimes twice.  DD has never caught it, not even when she was only 2 months old.  This year was the only year I caught it and it was 6 weeks after he had it.  So who knows if they were even connected.

Not one we pass around.  DS is more prone to strep, has had it 3 times and DD has never had it...knock on wood.

dd had it last November, but she got it from me.  No one else got it.  DS had it last week and no one got it, but him.  Crossing our fingers we're done for the season with strep.
