1. March 2003 on the Knot wedding planning boards. Got bumped to the Nest when they started that and then to here.

2. Yes. I have met several of the ladies in real life.

3. I check it a few times a day. It's been dead around here for a REALLY long time. I miss the days when there were pages of posts to look over if you skipped a day.

2. nope. 1st I have heard of it today. But, I keep my FB fairly private....way too much info on there, and no matter how much I like some of the ladies here I have a rule not to friend anyone on FB that I don't know well or IRL. so, even if I had been invited it is not for me.

3. I post on several boards. I just can quit the Bump/Nest

1. Started at the knot in 04, then came here in 06.  I don't post a ton, but sometime my post count reset, so I would have a thousand or so more posts.  

2. No, I don't post sig pics or anything too personal, so it is okay with me.  I will miss people who I've seen since 06, which I feel like is a large chunk of the board.  The people here have been so helpful to me since dd1 was born.

3.  I will definitely come here, I just can't quit-but I usually do a quick check, I'm don't post enough.  I do go over to some other boards and lurk, like MM and d/r.

The first time was in 2000 when I was engaged the first time. That ended in 2001. The second time was 2003, under a different screen name than this.

2. Are you a part of the FB/Nestie community?

I was a member of a group a couple of years ago that was designed as a way to keep in touch if the nest died, but I got wigged out about my privacy, so I think I took myself out of it pretty quickly. I gather that this is the same group?

Yeah, I still check in when I'm sitting in car line or watching TV at night.

2. No, not part of the FB group. Didn't know about it, but not opposed to joining.

3. I still check out the parenting board daily. Its fun to hear from all the girls that have been on here for a while (mainly 2006, 2008, 2010 moms). Alot of us have been posting for years from weddings to preschool. I'll miss hearing from those who left for FB.

2004, wedding planning...broke off that engagement and returned in 07, married DH in 08. Not on the fb group. I will stay here. Will miss the regulars I got to know pretty well but I already frequent the Bf board, 0-3, and 24+ so I will keep coming here. And I kind of like not having several pages to go back through if I miss a day or two.

when I got babeh fever in 2005 or 06, and I was brideofranken, on the bump I was on botb and then here a lot, a lot.

now, I mostly stay on the nest where the drama flows like wine and the snark stays fresh.

3. I check over here pretty regularly, but there's almost never anything new going on. except someone trying to run over femme and her kids, which makes my stomach clench up just thinking about it. I miss the old days! When I was pg with Wyatt it was super fun over here.

I took a break from the Nest after my youngest was born, but I would lurk now and then. Last year I came out of hiding. I feel like I know everyone and nobody knows me, but that's ok.

In 2007, I joined the Knot while wedding planning and later that year I joined the Nestbaby/Bump for a pregnancy that I miscarried a week before our wedding. I took a break after that loss and returned during my pregnancy with ds.

I still feel compelled to check the boards. I just moved to a new state and haven't had many opportunities to meet other people/moms. It's nice to see names that I recognize.

1.  I started coming on the knot for wedding planning(2006).  I lurked on the boards when I was trying to concieve DS - back then I think it was just Babies on the Brain??  Then the pregnancy boards and I was briefly on the 3-6 board - I think it was that board that also fell apart for a while when the regulars formed their own private board - these things are not new.  I somehow broke my addiction for a while and came back when I got pregnant with DD.  I've been around the parenting board since then - but I don't post often.

2.  No, I don't post enough or put enough out there to be part of the community. 

3.  I still check in, but the slow pace allows me more time on pinterest which I'm enjoying right now.

3.  Yes.  The parenting board is part of my daily routine.  Some of the names(winery, eclaires, cubby) I remember from the Little pumpkins (oct 2006).  This board is a community like no other.  Nestie Claus, sending support to Femme, these are what keep me here.

I started coming to the knot in 2001 when my friend was planning her wedding. Ended up on BOTB sometime in 2004. I am not part of the FB community. I don't do FB. I have visited parenting pretty faithfully since 2007. It's a great place and I feel like I "know" many of the people here. Other boards I don't frequent enough to have that same feeling of community.
