Amazing day
I am loving seeing FD get more comfortable with us! It's so rewarding and just wonderful to watch. Last night her friend spent the night again. Today she got some neon paints to make a poster for above her black light, and we went to a park/museum to eat and let DS play with all the hands-on stuff in the museum. It was freeeeezing outside, but we all had so much fun. All five of us (FD, her friend, DS, me, and DH) were running around playing tag and eating our lunch, then climbing on rocks and just having a really great time. And the BEST part was watching FD laugh and smile. She hasn't been unpleasant since being with us, but this isn't a situation she wants. She hasn't smiled so much that I've seen. It did wonders just to go out and be silly. Sure, we're all too old to be playing tag... But never too old to laugh
