So, I'm thinking that I'll do a cupcake theme... does anyone have any good ideas with this or any other themes to do for a little girl?

for the cupcake theme - I figure all the plates and accessories will have cupcakes on them. her outfit will also have a cupcake on it. the invites will say "our cupcake is turning 1." ... decorate a cupcake stand for the kiddies... does anyone else have any good ideas to go along with this? or any other themes and the details behind it.

I have some time but would love to get started right away.. thanks in advance.

We did a cupcake theme for DD's 2nd birthday. DH's mom made her a custom cupcake shirt. She was suppose to wear it with her tutu, but woke up with an opinion about clothes so she just wore it with jeans.

We got all our platter from Kohls after Valentines day, they had tons of cupcake stuff 70% off. I did more of a color theme with the food. It was suppose to go with the colors in her tutu, pink, blue, and yellow. We did cupcakes, sugar cookies, cupcake cake pops, rice crispy treats in mini cupcake shapes and also layered jello.

For food we did a hot dog bar and it was a big hit (although not related to cupcakes at all) and nachos. We also had fruit, chips, and maybe a salad???

I may be a little late on this but I just found out about edible cupcake toppers . the little man turns one next week (tear) and welre doing a super why theme, i just sent pics of the character and what we want them to say and they print them on edible paper to put over the frosting.
