Natural Birth through the Cleveland Clinic

Hi, I'm new to the boards and just found out that I am pregnant  I am trying to find an OB/GYN or midwife to help me achieve a drug free and natural birth.  My insurance network includes the Cleveland Clinic hospitals and I live near Hillcrest. 

Any reviews of the Hillcrest birthing center? Any suggestions for supportive OB/GYNS in the area that will help me reach my goal of a natural childbirth with pressure and in a comfortable environment.

Hi there! Welcome to the boards. Not a whole lot goes on in these boards, unfortunately. I delivered my son at Hillcrest. Overall, I had an "ok" delivery. My nurse was really supportive of our birth plan and she was awesome. However, my pregnancy turned high risk out of the nowhere and in hindsight, I'm not sure that would have been my first choice for a high risk pregnancy. Since then I have met one of their maternal fetal specialists, which I really liked and I'm still considering delivering any other children there. Hope that helps!

Hi - I delivered at Hillcrest as well and also didn't go med free, but I have absolutely nothing but good things to say about their birthing center.  I had the best labor and delivery nurse, which made it that much easier.  My son spent a few days in the NICU, which was fabulous.  Hopefully that is not something you will need, but if you do, rest assured that they provide excellent care.
