  • I don't have any yet.  But I have heard that sea bands work really well.

  • Me too!  I can't keep ginger candy in my mouth without puking.  Seabands are doing nothing for me.  I'm on a plane right this second and am trying so hard not throw up.

  • Mine kicked in full gear two days ago. I've not thrown up yet purely through my own will power. I've tried ginger ale, saltines, psi bands, ginger tea, ginger candy, and the only thing I've noticed that helps at all is eating every few hours.

  • It completely kicked my butt yesterday. I'm naively hoping today won't be so bad. I've had on and off mild nausea for a little while, but nothing really noticeable and then yesterday, I was at work and had to run for the bathroom and barely made it before the toilet became my best friend. I'm thinking I'll have to tell my boss sooner than later. :P

People suggested the popsicles and neutral foods like low sodium saltines and stuff, but right now I'm really really slowly eating some yogurt and it seems ok.

It got to the point yesterday I was too scared to eat or smell anything (the smell of an apple was overwhelming at the end of the day and evoked another reaction).

  • No, not as of yet but from reading the replies to your post - mostly everyone who has m/s so far is around 6 weeks - I'm just over 5 weeks and wondering if mine will start next week...

  • My best advise is to call your doctor and ask for zofran. It is a miriacle drug. It will make you, so if you do take it get some colace.
  • My above post should say it will make you constipated - but the bump will not let me edit the post from my phone. :)
  • thanks for all the suggestions ladies.  i sent dh to the store to get the seaband, will try that tomorrow.  ended up calling in today after completely emptying my stomach twice.  trying the lemon water, it seemed to stay down.  but right after if i took a long nap, so things are feeling better now.  will keep you posted.  still would love more advice.  and im definitely asking for zofran asap.
  • I am so sick too. I wasn't at all with my first, so this is uncharted territory for me. It is NOT fun. I suck on butterscotch hard candy while I teach and that helps me a little bit. I also keep crackers with me wherever I go and snack on them whenever I feel a twinge of nausea. Hope it gets better for you!
