So, SD was wanted to to the elective ultrasound as long as he didn't have to pay and it didn't interfere with his social life. I told him we should schedule it on Saturday so neither of us misses work. (Don't get me started on my EEOC complaint) That was 4 days ago. I'm guessing his desire to "be with MY son as much as possible" doesn't out weigh his co-dependent need to be with his partner 24/7. Don't you love the "MY"? Last time I looked, I'm the one who's pregnant, and all you've done is donated a little genetic material. Ugh. Anyway...
I've decided to take DD instead. She wanted to go with me at my 20w appt, but they had a strict no kids rule, even if she's 15. I haven't told her yet. I want to make it a surprise. I think she'll enjoy it.
Re: Olive Branch Fail (Big Suprise)
Im sorry to hear this. However, if he wanted an elective ultrasound (and has failed to be there at other u/s) then he should have paid for it or at least have a split.
Regardless, I love that you are taking your DD instead! I too am planning a surprise for my family. My little niece is over the moon about the baby. She looks up baby information all the time, saves little coupons for me etc and my mom secretly tells me about it. My family lives far from me so they haven't been able to see anything but the blurry u/s pictures. When my mom was pregnant they didn't have U/S nor could they afford one if they had it. So I'm thinking of scheduling one later this month to surprise them.
How far along are you? I'm not sure when most people recommend the 3d/4d scans but I know its not good to try to go too early nor too late in the pregnancy.
25w1d as of Feb 11. I'm due May 25th. I'm just doing a 2D one. 3D/4D creep me out *shudder*
My niece is excited to, she keeps saying stuff like, "Uncle Sal, is a new cousin still in your tummy?" or "When will Cousin come out? Did you go to the hospital yet, Uncle Sal?" I'm Uncle Sal.
