So four doctors appointments and $200 later, the verdict is --- erythema multiforme due to allergic reaction to penicillin antibiotics AND severe impetigo.

So she's now on a non-penicillin, non-sulfa (I'm allergic to sulfa and no one wanted to take a chance) antibiotic to clear up the impetigo.  The rash on her feet can take a bit longer to clear up, but the doctor thinks she'll be back to her unblemished self in a few weeks.

Yay for having a diagnosis, cause, and plan!

Yay for answers!  It took about 2 weeks for Kate's allergic reaction to amoxicillin to clear up completely, but she was feeling better within a few days of us stopping the meds.

I'm glad she didn't seem to be bothered.  That diagnosis sounds like it would be painful!  Yay for having a dx and a plan!
