Girl Middle Name Help

Ok so I thought I had this all set and then the second guessing comes along. And I know its just MN which may never be used but still.

We are having a girl and her first name will be Lucia (Lou-Chia) and yes b/c we are in America I will probably have to correct people that its not Lou-see-a. (even though I like that name too)

I've gone through iterations of MNs and thought I was set on Lucia Elisandra.  I met a beautiful spanish woman with that name and to me it flowed nicely.

But then I wondered if Lucia Alessandra was better but I thought it didnt flow as nice with the "Al" sound.  My other option is Adrianna (Odd-rea-ah-na) that was my original FN choice.

Thoughts? Should I just stick with what I was set with?

Re: Girl Middle Name Help

  • Is Lucia Italian?  In Spanish it would be pronounced lou-see-ah also so idk if a Spanish middle name would help pronounciation any.  Either way I like the way Lucia Alessandra flows.  It's pronounced about the same as Elisandra the way I'm reading it, but I think the spelling Alessandra goes better with Lucia.

  • Yes in Spanish it would be Lou-see-ah but I am Italian so it's always been Lou-Chia to me.  I dont even think Elisandra is an actual name, but the woman I met was Spanish and even if I search it, it seems to be largely attached to Latin American or Spanish name.

I feel like it's 6 of one, half dozen of the other with the 2. Perhaps because Alessandra is actually Italian it may be better.

I'd stick with Italian then (Alessandra)
