I try to avoid all artificial sweeteners - CL contains Aspartame, which is what keeps it calorie content low, same thing used in diet soda. Which is said safe to use during pregnancy but it's probably better to check with your dr. first. Personally I prefer not to consume any kind of artificial sweeteners, colors.

Thanks, I didn't know about that - I'll check that one out.
I don't drink or eat anything with artificial sweeteners in it. It made my joints worse (I have RA). I definitely wouldn't do it while pregnant, but others are fine with it.

I don't drink anything with artificial sweeteners in it, especially when pregnant. But I also eat organic and switched all my bath products to sulfate and paraban free, so I'm probably a little extreme.
IUI #1 9/13 with 50 clomid and trigger - bfn.

My Dr. said everything is ok in moderation. Be careful how much artificial sugar you are eating though. My dr. said 2 per day. I have given up Crystal lite and everything else "lite" as you don't really know what the affects of artificial sweetners will be. Better to be safe than sorry is my mantra.

It still has "fake" sugar which the jury is still out on Truvia and pregnant women. While it comes from a plant source, it still gets mixed reviews on how safe it is.

I wonder about that stuff... Hm.
I wonder if splenda is okay, since it's derived from sugar? Though I'll only use sugar or Honey as a sweetener. Only Zephyrhills (spring) bottled water for this baby mama

Splenda's still chemically altered so I wouldn't say it's more or less safe than any other sweetener.
If you see Asparatame, Saccharine, or Sucralose (brand name: splenda) on the label, those are all a form of artificial sweetener. There are more, but these are the most common ones.

My doctor also said this...although I think she said 2 to 4. I cut out diet soda and only use real sugar in my morning decaf now. I do drink a glass of sugar free kool aid with dinner every now and then though.

Re: Is drinking Crystal Lite okay?

I just think in general these types of drinks are just better to have in moderation. Due to the fake sugar.
Most Crystal Lite contains aspartame, so I wouldn't drink much of it.

Make a pregnancy ticker
I've heard that many doctors ok aspertame. I didn't ask since I try and avoid artificial sweetners, both pregnant and not pregnant.
I'm not a fan of plain water so I will buy powdered lemonade and mix a little with water or squeeze fresh lemons/limes into my water.
