He has a big metal Tonka dump truck that he uses all of the time outside. He builds roads in his sandbox in the summer, hauls weeds to the trashcan when we are doing yardwork, "helps" us shovel snow in the winter by putting snow in it and hauling that away, and just runs up and down the sidewalk pushing it.
Sandbox and anything water related. Otherwise he's happy to find rocks, sticks, run around. I can't tell you how many toys seem to be a waste because he shows no interest.
Honestly, sticks, rocks and our outdoor kitties. But if you're looking for activities that you can buy/plan, sidewalk chalk, bubbles, sprinkler (weather permitting), wagon, scooter, remote control monster truck, balls (both big and little).
Mine is 3...but can I recommend water bombs? My DS LOVES it when we play with those. Basically they're just water balloons that come with a filler thing so you can fill them up with the hose.
Our son still loves his cozy coupe...as does our daughter. Anything they can put things in and haul around...as if working seems to make them the happiest.
