Incision Question

   I am 3 weeks pp and was wondering if I was allowed to put anything on my incision. The scar is getting a little dry and slightly peeling. I've had my 2 week postop appt and everything was good. My question is can I put lotion on it?

    I would call your OB to check. I definitely wouldn't put anything scented onto it and would probably do Aquaphor if the OB okayed it.

    I was putting vitamin e oil on it as soon as I felt comfortable touching it.

    I wouldn't put anything on it. If you really feel like you want to, call the OB.

    I know I had a corner of my incision that would be open one day and closed the next. Dr. said that's normal for healing. I wouldn't want something getting in a hole like that then cause an infection.
