2nd Appt today, good news....

I am 9 weeks today (according to todays measurement), last week I started spotting so my dr got me in for an ultrasound to make sure the baby was ok. Everything turned out fine, baby was strong with a great heartbeat. They also found a fibroid that concerned the dr, she decided she wanted to see me weekly for a few weeks to keep an eye on it.

I went in for my second appointment today and the baby looks great, measuring right where it should with a strong heartbeat. I was so relieved, I've been worrying a lot about the fibroid and the possibilities. The placenta has formed on the opposite side of my uterus which the dr says is ideal and everything looks good. I am definately more at ease now and so thankful that my dr is being so proactive in keeping an eye on the progression of the baby and whether the fibroid is causing any problems.

    oooopsie!  Wrong board, should be PREGNANT after 35!  Can I blame pregnancy brain???

    No worries!

    And FWIW, I had 3 good sized fibroids (still do, actually) and they didn't impact my pregnancy at all.   Sounds like yours won't, either.

    I think a lot of women "of a certain age" end up with fibroids.

    Me: 44 DH: 42. DS born healthy at 40 weeks 8/24/09. TTC since then with no luck or ART. Surprise BFP 8/6/14... MMC @ 8 weeks 4 days... Miss you everyday sweet baby angel.
