Is today over yet?

Sorry I just need to vent,

After not getting much sleep last night I feel like this day is never going to end. Sarah woke up at 5:30am and I fed her. Then I had to start getting ready for her appointment. After I got ready, I got DH up and then packed the diaper bag and got Sarah's morning meds ready. I then went and got her dressed and gave her her meds, Loaded her in the car seat and walked out the door just before 7am. Got down to Dell's CF clinic at 7:45am and was there until 11:30am. Stopped for lunch so that DH and I could just talk things through about Sarah. Sarah napped for about 30mins in the car and was up by 1pm. She HASN"T napped since. She is now screaming, and is so tired, but won't give in. I popped some chicken nuggets in the microwave for DD#1 and #2 to eat for dinner and yes that was all they had. No veggies and no fruit. I then gave them some ice cream just to keep them at the table for a bit longer. I did find some time with Sarah crying in my arms to build some block towers with #1 & #2. I let them watch TV until 7pm and then we cleaned up with Sarah still crying in my arms. I felt bad, but had to put Sarah down to get the other two dressed for bed (no bath tonight and I don't even feel bad about it).  Now my 2year old is kicking her door calling my name (I have put her back in bed 5 times already) which means Sarah couldn't fall asleep if she wanted to. I just want to Scream. I love my kids, but it is almost 8pm and I don't even know what I am going to eat for dinner.

Ok if you are still reading thanks, I love my kids with all my heart, but this mornings appointment was not what we expected and I am tired and hungry.   Ok pitty party and vent over.

Vent away girl!  What a horrible day.  I hope that all of your babies are sleeping soundly soon and you can get some rest.  (((hugs)))

Seriously! I'm sure you are exhausted, physically and emotionally. I hope you can get some sleep tonight. Will your DH get up with her so you can sleep in a little in the morning?

SO sorry mama! I hope you get some rest. Can your DH help more with the other kids? It's ok to feel frustrated and even to scream. Grab a pillow and let go into it. That's what I do sometimes....

I can't believe you're still hanging on. You've been through so much, and you've done it with grace and strength.

Do you ever get any time alone? I know you could find a sitter for the older girls, but have you ever left Sarah with someone? Is there someone you'd be comfortable leaving Sarah with for a while so you can get a break?
